ROUND ZERO | YOU’RE INVITED
There are moments that define a club. For the UFNC, this is one of them.
For generations, Ultima has been more than a team, it’s been a place of pride, of mateship, of memories that never leave you. From exciting moments on the field to long nights in the rooms… it’s part of who we are.
Now, a new chapter begins. We play our first offical game as the Ultima Storm.
Not just for today’s players – but for everyone who has ever worn the colours, stood on the boundary, pulled on a netball dress, worked behind the scenes, or called Ultima their club.
This moment is for you to enjoy.
We’re calling on all past players, supporters, families, and friends to come together.
Cheer on the Storm.
Stand with old teammates.
See the next generation.
Let’s fill the sidelines, feel that buzz again, and remind everyone what this club means…Because some things never change.
The Storm begins 🩵🤍🩶

Introducing our 2026 Ultima Storm Junior Netball Coaching Team! ![]()
We’re thrilled to unveil an incredible coaching lineup for our junior netballers this coming season — a team full of experience, passion and genuine love for developing young players.
Under 13 & Under 13 Reserves:

A warm welcome to Emily Edwards and Malia Codling — an exciting new coaching duo joining the Storm family! We can’t wait to see these two step into their roles and lead our youngest netball stars. With experience, game knowledge, and ability to create a whole lot of fun, Emily and Malia are sure to make 2026 a memorable year for our U13 squad.
Under 15:

Returning as head coach in 2026 is Louisa Frost, bringing her wealth of netball knowledge and continued dedication to this developing group. Joining her is newly appointed assistant coach Trine Conway, whose passion, playing experience, and game insight will be a huge asset. A dynamic duo ready to guide our U15 girls to new heights!
Under 17:

Back for their third season together, Rebecca Grey (Coach) and Tayla Foster (Assistant Coach) return after leading this group to a premiership and a preliminary final in the past 2 seasons! Their experience, encouragement, and genuine passion for the game make them a powerhouse pair — and we’re so excited to see what 2026 brings for the Under 17 girls!
NEW IN 2026 – Storm Netball Development Academy ![]()

We’re proud to launch our first ever Netball Development Academy, led this season by Tayla Foster. This optional in-season academy will focus on skill development, game related fitness, positional craft, and player wellbeing — giving our young stars extra opportunities to grow their confidence, add to their game and chase their netball pathways. More details to come on this soon!

NEW AGE GROUP
Auskick & Under 10’s – Kyle Symons:

After 5 years of shaping and guiding our senior group to incredible success, Kyle brings his depth of football knowledge to our youngest players. We’re very fortunate and excited that our future champs are beginning their journey under his guidance.
Under 12’s – Matt Filbin:

From Auskick coach last season and assistant to the Under 12’s group, Matt has already built a great rapport with this group. A natural teacher and motivator, we can’t wait to see how far these kids go under his leadership.
Under 15’s – Brent Conway:

A past player and long-time Ultima member, Brent returns to take the reins with our Under 15’s. A true club man and strong leader, we’re excited to watch this group grow and thrive under his direction.
Under 18’s – Luke O’Toole and Bailey Codling

These boys need no further introduction and already have a lot of the colts players joining in training with the senior group.
The future is looking bright at the Ultima Storm — there’s never been a more exciting time to be a junior footy player! ![]()
We currently have spots available in our Under 10, Under 12, Under 15 & Under 18 age groups for Season 2026, so if you would like further information about joining Ultima Storm for next season, let us know by sending an email to ultimafootballnetballclub@gmail.com or via our website contact page here

There are people who give their time to a football club… and then there’s our President.
We’ve watched him pour every spare minute of his day (and plenty that aren’t spare!) into this club. He’s the first to arrive, the last to leave, and somehow still finds time to check in on everyone in between. Every inch of our club — from the way it runs at the moment, to the culture, we’re so proud of — is a reflection of the person he is.
He continues to build more than just a football club; he’s building a community. A place where everyone feels welcome, valued and part of something special. He makes things fun, he inspires others to help, and he leads with heart in everything he does.
Theres been some big decisions that have needed to be made in the past few years, none that come with a manual. There’s honestly no way to measure the hours, effort or love he’s given — and no words big enough to say thank you. This award recognises what we’ve all known for a long time; that he is a big part of the heartbeat of our club.
We also want to give a huge thank you to his wife and family, who sacrifice so much time so that he can do what he does for all of us. Their support and understanding allow him to give his all to the club, and we’re so grateful for that.
There’s no award big enough to capture what he means to us, but this one comes close. Congratulations to our incredible President on being named AFL Community Volunteer of the Year — a well-deserved recognition for someone who is truly the heart and soul of our club.
Thank you, Nook ![]()

COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT ![]()
Ultima Storm is thrilled to announce Ricky Wild as our new Reserves Coach, supported by Jeremy “Vearo” Vearing as Reserves Assistant Coach! ![]()
Ricky, Jenna, Harper and Bowie have been part of the Storm family for a while now, and we’re pumped they’ll be with us again in 2026. ![]()
Vearo is a new addition to the club, and we’re excited to welcome Rhiannon, Tiger, Willow and Griffin Vearing to the Storm family too! (What a package
)
Both Ricky and Vearo bring premiership coaching experience from previous clubs, and we’re confident their knowledge and leadership will help continue our Reserves’ success as we step into the CMFNL. ![]()
We can’t wait to see where their passion, energy and commitment take our twos boys in 2026! ![]()
